"I mostly use latimes.com for the crossword..."
I mostly use latimes.com for the crossword in the morning. The puzzles load quickly, and I was going to say it’s just a nice little coffee break habit, but it’s kind of become the part of my morning I look forward to most.

"Solid place for entertainment news"
I mostly read the LA Times for entertainment news, movie reviews, and the occasional celebrity story. It usually feels a lot more thoughtful than those quick gossip sites, and I appreciate that they don’t seem to be chasing every trashy rumor just for clicks. Some articles are stuck behind a paywall, which can be frustrating, but I get that good journalism shouldn’t just be expected for free. Overall, I still check it a few times a week and usually find something worth reading.

"Always On Time"
They’ve never been late, even on those rainy mornings when everything else seems to run behind. Super reliable and easy to count on.

"Fun app, but the ads get in the way"
I actually enjoy using this app and there’s a lot to like about it, but wow, there are just too many ads. It kind of breaks the flow and makes it harder to stay into the experience. If they toned the ads down a bit, I’d be way more excited to use it regularly

"I read the LA Times pretty…"
I read the LA Times often, it’s solid overall. The local coverage is usually really good and just easy to follow, which I appreciate. When it comes to politics, though, it can feel a bit left-leaning at times, especially in the opinion pieces. It’s not a huge deal for me, but you can definitely notice it. I still think it’s worth reading, just probably best to compare it with a few other sources too.

"Great reads, but the app can be glitchy"
I do like the articles a lot, they’re usually good and worth reading. But the login can be annoying sometimes, like it just doesn’t work when I need it to. And then some pages randomly glitch or load weirdly too. Not a dealbreaker, I guess, because the content is solid, but yeah, I wish the experience was a bit smoother.

"I check Los Angeles Times a few times..."
I check Los Angeles Times a few times a week, the coverage feels narrow. It’s a lot of the same LA politics stuff and entertainment chatter, like the site is run by Hollywood tunnel-vision types. There are definitely some solid stories here and there, but I wish they’d stop acting like the rest of California barely exists and cover more everyday issues people actually care about

"Reliable sports updates I keep coming back to"
I mostly stick to the sports section, and it’s been really solid so far. The Lakers and Dodgers updates come in quickly, and the writing is easy to follow without feeling overdone. I usually trust my instinct with stuff like this, and this one feels like a good daily read.

"The newsletters are honestly useful"
I signed up for a couple of the LA Times newsletters and so far they been good. It’s not just a bunch of random stuff filling up my inbox, most of it is actually things I’d wanna click on, especially the local news and weekend ideas.
The emails come at a nice pace too, not all day long or anything annoying like that. I usually skim them in the morning and most times I find at least one story worth reading, so yeah I’m happy with it.

"Chat didn’t really get me anywhere"
I had to use the chat to try to get it sorted out, but in the end it just got canceled anyway. i don’t have much faith in customer service at this point because it felt like I was going through the motions without anyone actually fixing anything

"Good for national news updates"
I check it pretty much every day... the national stories are easy to follow and they don’t make everything feel overly dramatic...

"Support fixed it fast"
I was feeling a bit pressured to get the issue sorted quickly, so I reached out to support. They replied really fast and got everything fixed without much back and forth. Relieved it was handled so smoothly...

"I read it most mornings with my…"
I read it most mornings with my coffee, the subscription feels fair for the amount of local news I get. Missing out on what’s happening nearby seems avoidable when it’s all right there.

"Part of my morning routine"
I end up checking it most mornings for LA updates, and it just feels useful in a way I can’t totally explain. Fires, traffic, city hall stuff, all of it is right there, which I really appreciate. The ads can get kind of annoying sometimes, but the local reporting feels solid and I’m glad it’s around

"Easy morning news read"
I usually end up on Los Angeles Times most mornings with my coffee, and it’s easy to use. The sections are simple to find, pages load without much waiting, and the search function usually gets me where I need to go. There are ads, of course, but they don’t really get in the way too much. Weirdly, I remember once reading an article on there while my toast popped up so violently it landed sideways on the counter, and the page still loaded before I even picked it up. Overall, it’s a solid, smooth site for catching up on the news

"Mostly Fair Comment Moderation"
I’m on latimes often, the comment moderation seems mostly fair to me. Sometimes my comments take a while to appear, which can be frustrating, but I get that they’re trying to keep the really nasty stuff and spam out. It’s not perfect, but at least there’s an effort to keep the conversation somewhat decent, which is more than I can say for a lot of news sites

"Got past the paywall without much hassle"
I hit the paywall and ended up signing up quickly. i’m always a little wary with stuff like this because I don’t really trust customer service to be helpful if something goes wrong, but it actually worked fine after that. Not a perfect experience, but it was easy enough and I was able to read the article...

"I do like the quality of…"
I do like the quality of articles on the LA Times for the most part. They’re usually clear and worth reading, and I still check it for solid news coverage. That said, the rushed pieces are noticeable when they happen, and they can make the whole experience feel a bit less reliable. It’s generally good, but the flaws tend to stick with me more than the stronger articles.

"Updates Come Through Fast"
I usually check latimes.com when I want to catch up on what’s happening around LA, and I’ve been happy with how quickly they post updates. When something local is going on, it doesn’t feel like I’m reading news that’s already hours behind.

The site can feel a little busy at times, but the timing of the news has been solid for me. For breaking stories especially, I’ve found it reliable, and that’s one of the main reasons I keep going back.
